Massimo Russo is the Managing Director of the Digital Division of Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso. Previously he has been co-editor in chief of the Italian national daily La Stampa, editor in chief of Wired Italia, digital content director at Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso, editor in chief of the Visual Desk of L’Espresso and Repubblica.it, reporter and senior editor in L’Espresso daily newspapers. He co-authored “Eretici Digitali”, a book about journalism in the digital age, and Attacco ai pirati, on a hacking team case. He is a contributor of Treccani-Istituto dell’Enciclopedia Italiana on Design in the Internet and 3D printers age and a member of the Italian Parliamentary Commission in charge of drafting and implementing an Internet Bill of rights. He had been lecturing online journalism at university in Urbino, Milan, Bologna and Rome.
