Ton Zijlstra

Ton Zijlstra works on networked agency, ethics by design and digital transformation. Change, complex challenges, and the way we organise, work, learn and live in a fully digitised and networked world fascinate him ever since he first went online in 1989. As an independent consultant he works on complex change issues, where knowledge, communities of practice and digital literacies are a part of the solution. Since 2011 he is a founding partner of The Green Land, a European open data consultancy. He assists governments and private entities in being open by design, as part of a more comprehensive and ethics based data governance approach. Since 2014 he is a senior open government data expert with the World Bank, and works in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and South-East Asia. Currently he is also an external expert to the UNDP in Serbia.
